Having lacked wood in the middle of winter season, we got a delivery from a dishonest seller of wood that was soaking damp. (Didn't understand how wet up until he left and we began stacking it). But since it was all we had to warm our house with, we made it work.

Was able to get a fire going with the wood that didn't rather burn well the day previously. Not perfect, however achievable. It got us through the winter season however it was an overall pain in the tail. If you are simply lighting fires for the ambience, I recommend letting your wet wood sit for another year and get some dry skilled wood or use duralogs instead.
